Rella's Movement Studio is a boutique movement studio in Cheltenham, small, warm, and welcoming, the opposite of the big, loud gym experience. It's for you if your body has been through it: aches, stiffness, an old injury, menopause, or years of putting everyone else first while your own health slipped down the list. Everything here is built on sustainable human movement: the strength, balance, and confidence you build in a session aren't left behind on the studio floor, they're built to go home with you, into the way you carry groceries, play with grandchildren, and move through your own life. That's what Move with Purpose, For a Purpose really means. If gyms have made you feel too old, too broken, or too behind to belong, Rella's is where you rebuild strength and trust in your body again, at your own pace, without punishment, ego, or noise.
Rella's offers a few ways to move, depending on what feels right for you. Group Sessions are small and semi-private, so you're never lost in a crowd (6 people on weekdays, 12 on Saturdays), and every session follows a simple rhythm: Prepare, priming your body and preventing injury, Perform, your tailored training at your own pace, and Regenerate, active recovery so you're ready for next time. There are no class names or rigid formats here, because the focus is you, not a routine. Private Sessions are just you and your coach, ideal if you're managing an injury, a health condition, or simply want movement built entirely around you. Semi-Private 2:1 lets you train alongside a partner or friend with the same dedicated coaching. Not sure which one fits? A free Movement Chat will point you in the right direction.
Yes, and they're as much a part of Rella's as anyone. Freddy and Archibald, our two Schnauzers, who work as our resident therapy dogs, or Furcoaches as they're known. Freddy's our resident grip strength coach (he's a menace at tug-of-war), and Archibald handles movement coaching, mostly by making sure someone's always bending down to throw his ball. If dogs aren't your thing, that's completely fine, just let us know and the boys will happily head upstairs, out of the way, for your session.
Not at all, and that's exactly the point. Most people who walk through Rella's door haven't set foot in a gym in years, or tried one and it didn't work for them. Every session meets your body where it is right now, not where you think it should be, so you can start exactly as you are.
Group sessions start from $42 casual, with 10-session packs from $380 or an unlimited weekly option from $70 (minimum 3 months). Private coaching starts from $73 for 30 minutes, $83 for 45 minutes, and Semi-Private 2:1 sessions start from $100 per session. Pack and memberships are available reducing the price of each session Senior Card holders and Essential Service workers receive 10% off casual and pack rates. Rella's is tucked into Factory 21, 95 Tulip Street, Cheltenham, in Melbourne's Bayside area. There are 3 parking spots right out the front, plenty more along Tulip Street, and an after-hours arrangement with neighbouring businesses if you need it.
Group sessionsMonday to Friday at 6am, Monday to Thursday at 6pm,Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 9.30am, Saturdays at 7.30am for Primal (bodyweight) and 8.30am for Kettlebell Sport. Private and semi-private sessions can be booked across coaching hours: Monday to Thursday 6am-12pm and 3pm-7pm, Friday 6am-12pm, and Saturday 7.30am-11am.
Never a crowd. Weekday group sessions are capped at 6 people, Saturdays at 12. Private sessions are just you and your coach, and semi-private 2:1 is you and a partner. You're always properly coached, never just another face in the room.
Yes. You can book a paid trial session, and if you decide to keep going, that cost comes straight off your first pack or membership. It's also worth starting with a free Movement Chat, a relaxed conversation to help you land on the right session type before you dive in.
